The inland is a succession of hills that lead up to the Apennines. A little further north there is La Gola del Furlo crossed by the Candigliano river that winds between the impressive rock walls of the Gola, where the suggestion of the landscape is combined with a prodigious natural wealth with unique flora and fauna. Villages and castles overlook the hills, cities rich of history and culture such as Macerata, Urbino, Tolentino, Camerino, Recanati, Fermo, Loreto and many others are all within an hour’s drive. Nearby the fortresses of Corinaldo, Ostra Vetere, Jesi and our Morro d’Alba, with its characteristic covered walkway called “La Scarpa”, stand out for their beauty.
